The - "Mini E-Type"

I was reading an article about the Triumph GT-6 and it was know as the Mini E-Type after a bit of Google

it comes up with

"This gave the GT6 the nickname "Poor man's E-Type"

Has anyone else heard this before Question

Or any other car with an E-Type nickname Question I dont know
