| We have...
S Type 420 Owners Workshop Manual "Autobook 703" (for 3.4S, 3.8S & 420 for 1963-1968)
By Kenneth Ball
We got it at the local library. It's very detailed and has been very helpful. I was the first one to borrow it from our library since 1984!!! I hope they will sell it to me!

| As a note, i have the CD that covers Parts and Service manuals for MKX, 420, S-Type, 420G HOWEVER, I only just noticed the 420G section is seriously deficient, in that the Parts manual is just a Part Number update, with no pics. The service manual is the Mark X 4.2, which is fair enough as they are almost the same. The way i found out, is that the bypass housing that bolts to the thermostat housing on the inlet manifold on my 420G has badly corroded stub pipes. I went to check on 2 free engines I recently accquired both from S1 xj6 A 4.2 and a 2.8...lucky..the 2.8 bit is the same Different to the 4.2 xj part. I think the water pump on the 2.8 is the same as the 420G as well, will update when confirmed | |

| TC, It would be an XJ6 series 1, AWG may be able to confirm this, but from memory it was a base option at the time.
