Whether your E Type be a total restoration, or a WiP project, it all boils down to two things:-

1. MONEY
2. TIME

If the wife gives you a pass to get out the house lol!

Your time is FREE, so then it comes down to the MONEY Exclamation

Now I like to do a Running report on the cost to see exactly what I've spent Idea

This initally started off just rough, but now as I do jobs, job by job I'm breaking it down more.

July 18th - September 10th 2009

Car Just under £25K

Tyres £1251.00
Interior £200.00
Exterior £430.00
Engine £600.00
Oil and Fluids £160.00
Suspension £90.00
Nuts & Bolts etc £225.00
Tools £550.00
Garage £150.00

Total £3656.00

September 11th - October 10th 2009

Misc\Halfrauds £ 3.67
Tools £14.98
Nuts & Bolts £57.70
F. Suspension £27.00 - Parts to go on
Rubber £3.42
Ex Body Fittings £41.70 - Mirrors, Clip on type
Fuel System £ 1.50
Cooling System £53.46 - Parts to go on
Bodywork £14.99

September Total - £218.42

Running Total £3874.42

October 11th - November 6th

Books & Manuals - £48.11
Misc - £24.00
Interior - Jaguar Rubber mats £36.52
Front Suspension £137.00 -overhaul parts
Rear Axle - £120 - 2 bushed radius arms,2 inner & 2 outer bearings, 4 axle mounting brackets
Engine -£45 water pump
Fluids - £18 - Antifreeze
Cooling - £125 - Coolcat fan -otter switch
Oil Sump Plug - £4.95

October Total £558.58

Running Total - £4,433.00

I'm hoping to bring this car back to a "baseline" where it will be a good driveable with no
upgrades, I'm aiming to do this not spending more than £8K which I believe should be acheivable Exclamation Question Exclamation Question
In that £8k, there is some paint work I want doing which Ive been quoted a £1k for.

So that knocks me down to £7K. Shocked

If you would like more detail than what is on here please send me a PM.

Please remember unless stated no PROFESSIONAL LABOUR IS INCLUDED Exclamation Exclamation
