Blown up Mk10 420G Engines

I went to visit a friend in Yorkshire this morning amongst other tous in his garage he has
two Mk10 one just about to go for a respray as a bare shell and one having its engine fixed.

The engine was familar site but a bit of a worse state than mine.

A valve seat was embedded in the piston….





Any one else got any stories and images from engines they have brought back
from the dead
