Of the limited numbers of Limousines made I believe Sir William Lyons owned two of them
a MK10 version and a later 420G.

Does anyone have any info or pics of these Question

I don't have that information but I will make a point of getting some pics and info next time I see him which should be soon as I need to get my wood from him before the concours.

I'm in Australia and have a Mark 8 - could you post details of the Mk 10 limo? I'd love to take a look.

Hi Lads,
As promised here are some pics of one of the last 2 remaining MK10 limo's. Unfortunately the pics are not great as the car was stored in a somewhat poorly lit area and I was relying heavily on the flash of my mobile. Anyhow here goes, no descriptions are necessary except the fact that the car was originally maroon as all the limo's were.
Anyhow He will give me background info when I see him Sunday at the concour.
P.S. It is for sale $30,000.00AUD

Cheers
Charles

Several years ago I had an XJ 3.2 - it was a beautiful car finished in met burgundy with piped antelope leather and I decided to have a set of XJS lattice wheels fitted.

I located a set from a Jag spares dealer in Essex/Kent area (Maidstone?) and whilst picking them up saw a Mk10 (420G?) Limousine.

I'd never seen a Limo before and despite my interest, time was pressing and so the fact I looked over it I didn't take any pictures but I do remember it was upstairs (sorry i can't recall the context) and stored alongside an XJ Coupe.

I'm pretty sure it was navy blue

Yes Clive,
As I mentioned earlier it is for sale, so here then is a little bit of background:
As mentioned previously this vehicle belongs to a friend of mine Rob. Apparently Sir William Lyons had 3 MK10 Limos for his personal use, this was the first, it was originally opalescent maroon, later painted white to be used as a wedding car and was in a bad state of disrepair when Rob bought it and refurbished it as he is in the carwood trade. These cars differ from the norm thanks to the inclusion of a sliding glass partition, fixed position front bench seats, fully veneered rear magazine rack and clock to accompany the standard occasional tables and cigar lighters, rear radio console, wing mirrors, electric aerial, electric windows, front chrome door pulls (in place of armrests), extendible reading lights and taller rear seats with longer squabs.
There is also extra wood below the glass partition with two ashtrays inlaid into that. This one has the original Pye radio in it as well.
The car was built in october 1963 and the only other surviving MK10/420G Limo is Sir william's second built in 1966, It was sold to a Mr. Capogianopoulos, who retains the car in Greece, apparently it is in beautiful original condition, with only 61,000 miles on the clock.

Hi Guy's I know I commented earlier on this but there was definitely a MK10/420G Limo in the Jag spares warehouse upstairs in Kent in 1994.

I went there to buy my lattice wheels for my then current XJ and had never seen one before.
