Jaguar E-Type Sugar Scoop Re-furb

With April 17th creeping up when Im doing the St Georges Day Rally and supporting the:

The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs

I need the lights working even if the bumpers aren't going to back, been advised today 4-6wk turn around.

So while there off being plated I need to get the sugar scoops re-furbed, head lamp upgrade done and the glass lenses fitted with new seals.





I've done the undercoat black as the backs are black anyway way..

Jaguar E-Type Halogen Bulb Upgrade

I refitted my Lucas H4 headlamps this afternoon both with Halogen H4 bulbs

No. 2 looks this



Yes its on.

Inside it looks like this...



Do the rivets need drilling and taking the inside piece out, I tried it with 3 different new bulbs no joy

Any suggestions

Refitting the Jaguar E-Type Front Bumper After Re-Chroming

Day 1 when I got the car.... I always thought the bumper let the front of the car down.



The chrome after its been rechromed and been given a good polish



Building it up...









The standard of the parts:











These sections were in poor condition and apparently after dipping there was more braise than metal on the inside
they did the best they could.



Before fitting it back together I gave it a good coat of hamerite silver smooth on the inside

For that extra bit of protection

Car had its second MOT in my ownership July 16th 2010

It passed

8851smile last MOT this years reading was 9635 miles

Only 784 miles last year

2174 in my ownership

Any news on Edward

Edward is now quite busy with Self Drive Hire bookings for March.

Also getting lots of enquiries Self Drive Hire for Weddings.

new set of rocker covers to polish and fit for Edward so thats another job to fit in
but at the moment Reggie is taking preference...

Absolutely, I had a lady use it on a self drive hire a couple of Fridays back, March it is out 5 times and we arent in the Month yet

That's really great.
I don't think I'd like to hire mine out though
